Broadcast Section: Major Update
The broadcast section has been significantly updated. Here’s what’s new:
Flexible Audience Selection
Building the right audience is now more powerful than ever:
- Filter users by various criteria — last activity date, custom fields, and more.
- Select by actions — target users who have or haven’t performed specific events.
- Cross-resource queries — for example, select users who are subscribed (or not) to a specific channel.
- Reuse previous audience lists from past broadcasts.
- Exclude specific audiences from a send.
Redesigned Message Composer
Creating messages is now more flexible and expressive:
- New content types: video circles, live photos, media groups, and paid content (Stars).
- Auto-pin messages after sending.
- Button customization: keyboard buttons, new button types and styles.
- Dynamic variables: insert user data directly into message text or buttons.
- Emoji and premium emoji are now much easier to use.
Recurring Broadcasts
Schedule broadcasts to send automatically on a recurring basis. The audience is refreshed automatically on each new run.
Example: send a weekly reminder to all users who have been inactive for N days.
Manual Automation Triggers and Triggered Broadcasts
We’re opening the automation section in beta. Use it to:
- Export data to external systems.
- Build chains of conditions and events triggered by specific actions.
Example: a user launched the bot but didn’t complete the target action within N days — trigger a follow-up sequence automatically.
